At ST-Ericsson, we have been providing robust computing performance to Chinese smartphone market for several years. As a result of our ongoing efforts to address the specific needs of market in China, today we are pleased to announce our first smartphone collaboration with Lenovo: the Lenovo LePhone S899t smartphone designed for China Mobile.
This is the first smartphone from Lenovo to be built on a ST-Ericsson dual-core high-performance application processor – the Nova™ A9500 application processor. With a dual-core ARM Cortex A9 CPU running at 1GHz and a high-end 3D graphics accelerator, the Nova A9500 enables users of the Lenovo LePhone S899t to enjoy a full smartphone experience on China Mobile’s TD network. In addition to the Nova A9500, ST-Ericsson CG2900 and CW1100 connectivity solutions were also selected by Lenovo enabling GPS, Bluetooth, FM and WiFi features.
This Lenovo LePhone S899t smartphone is expected to be available at the Lenovo website and China Mobile retail stores in mid-July.
By announcing Lenovo as a new customer for ST-Ericsson, we are broadening our partners in the China market and we look forward to sharing further design wins with you.
